The process of a home inspection

Are you wondering where a home inspection lands in your home buying process?

1. First get an accepted offer

2. Call/text/email us with either the MLS# or the address of the home to be inspected and the date and time you want the inspection.

3. A price will be given for the inspection and time and date will be confirmed by the inspector. The amount of time for the inspection will be given (usually between 2-4 hours)

4. A confirmation email is sent over with an “inspection agreement” attached to it, which needs to be signed prior to the inspection.

5. Inspection day: the inspector will show up for the inspection at the agreed upon time and complete the inspection. At the end of the inspection time is where you come to go over the results of the inspection

6. Payment: After the inspection, but before the report is issued is the time to pay. Payment can be done in cash, cheque or e-transfer

7. The report: The inspection report will be sent over electronically either same day or next day
