FAQs
Why do I need a home inspection?
The purpose of a home inspection is to identify existing and potential problems, such as safety hazards and significant structural issues, so you can make an informed decision before purchasing a home. All inspections provide a detailed report on a property's condition, allowing you to negotiate repairs or price adjustments with the seller and gain peace of mind.
How long does the inspection take?
The amount of time it takes to complete an inspection varies depending on the type of property being inspected. For example a 600 sq ft condo unit can take approximately 1 hour where as a 3,800 sq ft house can take 3-4 hours. A time frame will be given for each individual property that is inspected.
What factors affect the price of home inspection?
All base pricing for condos, townhomes and single family homes are set by the square footage of the home. If the property has more square footage, additional electrical panels, is over 25 years of age, etc it takes more time to inspect and report on and will affect the total cost of the inspection.
Are appliances included in the price of inspections?
Yes. We include a visual and basic operation of appliances in all inspections. This is already included in the base price.
How long does it take to get the inspection report?
Inspection reports are generated and sent to you within 24 hours. However, if requested reports can usually be generated same day as the inspection.
Does TRC Homes & Inspections offer any other services other than home inspections?
